Samantha's Pixie Hollow Birthday Party

 Welcome to Samantha's Pixie Hollow

This post was meant be posted a very long time ago, but do to life well blogging has not been a part of this thing we call "life". Her birthday party happen in March of 2012. I'm truly happy with the way it all turned out. Seeing my daughter's face and her saying "THANK YOU MOMMY I LOVE IT!" was priceless to me.

Well here you go. Enjoy!

My daughter loves the princesses but her favorite is Tinkerbell she stays so quiet while watching her movies (If you knew Sam you would know what I mean she turned 3 going on 20 she can talk you ear off). We wanted to recreate a Pixie Hollow theme so that she could feel as if she was there.
The entrance was adorned with real tree trunks where entering guests could sign Sam’s scrapbook and pick up their wands and wings then head over to the hollow.
The girl’s table had a forest look with the tree centerpiece being the focal point each of the chairs had an organza bow with a different fairy attached except, for the birthday girl – hers had Tinkerbell. As for the boys, we created a Captain Hook table we accented their chairs with hooks, and made pirate hats for them to wear.
The children had a blast playing in the tree house and swings, afterwords they made their take home gifts the girls colored fairy pictures while the boys made foam sword it was a good time had by all.
A work bench was used to create the Pixie Hollow with all the fairies, flowers, animals, tree trunks, and of course the food and goodies. Below is a list of the extremely talented group of ladies that made my vision come full circle:

Sweet Treats by Cristy created the beautiful fairy house cake as well as the cupcakes.
Sugar fancies was a new find for us- we went to her shop and were totally amazed from the decor of their store to the incredible cake pops, apple tarts, chocolate covered Oreo, and macaroons.
– Renee from Dainty Delights created the sensational and as always astonishing cookies.
– The wonderful fairies were created by the talented Mimi café Union.
CakesAndKids.com sells the push pop containers and they were filled with homemade guava & banana mousse.
The Purple Pug created the glittered bunting banners, lady you rock!
Tini Posh created the wonderful outfit that my little fairy wore, when she saw it she put her hand on her mouth and said oh my God (I think she liked it).
ElleBelle Couture created the beautiful headbands that my little Fairy and I wore.
incrEDlBLEtoppers made the outrageous rice paper butterfly toppers; what a talented lady I take my hat off to you.
allaprimadesigns created these wonderful fondant flowers that we placed on top of the macaroons- they were amazing.
– To finish my little fairy’s outfit this talented amazing lady created the perfect shoes, she doesn’t want to take them off! Bedazzle My Bon Bons do I need to say more, this lady’s creations will blow you away (we already ordered for my sons birthday in July).
Lynlee’s Petite Cakes also created amazing fondant butterflies.
– Jill from Peas & Thank You’s whenever I call on her all I have to say is a character or a theme and she knows right away to come up with something wonderful like the entrance sign leading to the party!
– Debra from Titi’s Tutu for creating the beautiful tulle pom poms that gave the ceiling the perfect touch.
– My future sister-in-law Elizabeth for sewing the banner.
– My MOM for being the other half of Malu Boutiques that helped me make and put together every decoration in this and every other party that we have done.

Malu Boutiques Make Over

Wow it has been way........ to long. Life decided to take a few curve balls. Lots has changed in the last 2 and 1/2 years that we have been silent. Life is much different for me and in all of the craziness of something we call life I had another baby girl. Now momma of 3.

Now that we have been silent for so long we decided to redo our logo and have a relaunch of our company. Our Logo was redone by Silvia Wren Designs. Extremely happy with our NEW look. (EEK!)

With re-branding our-self we decided to redo the website, our Etsy store, blog, and so forth. Here is what (WE) will look like little by little. Super excited!

Hopefully now we can start little by little doing our tutorials, inspirational Wednesdays, and catching up on blog post that we should of shared with you all a while ago. Oh and I can't wait to share with you all where we have been featured!

Stay tune for our follow up blog post. It will be a tutorial on learning how to do these
Little Cupcake Platters.

Till then you can follow us on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram.

Hugs,

Miranda's Sweet Shop

While planning our "Sweet Shop" party we had so much fun. Working with Miranda's mom was easy and fun, Miranda and my son go to school together. We chat every morning. So when she asked us to help her with her daughter's party, we stepped up to the challenge. We immediately started brainstorming with all the little details that can be done.
We were so excited and could not wait.

The party day came and it was so windy. The day was beautiful, but very windy! Setting up was a challenge.

This was candy station. Talk about a sugar rush huh?!
Let's break it down as to what candy's we had.

Candy Hearts and Mint Thank you treats.

Rainbow Nerd and Rock Candy.

I LOVE the rainbow nerds.
Yummy!

Sour worms and gummy fish

Chocolatete covered sixlets

Marshmallow Cupcake Pops

Are you having a tooth ache yet? Well there's more. Of course we had to have Misha's Cupcakes. The flavor was Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet, Cookie Dough, Guava and an extra large Cupcake for the birthday girl. One of my faves is the guava.
They are just delish have you tried one yet?

When designing our banners we try to make each banner different for everyone. That's why when designing this banner I had a blast. I spelled out her name with lollipops .
I fell in love with the banner.

Do you like it?

The backdrop was purchased at Home Goods. I found it darling and perfect for the party.

We made topiaries made from cupcake liners.  They were Pink, Green, and Yellow. Along with a sign beside them saying sweet treats. Take a look.

Each guest received a gumball machine as their "Thank you for coming."
There's was a large gum ball machine during the party for guest to enjoy.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Miranda. Reyna thank you for letting us be a part of your daughter's special day.

Hope our Sweet Shop party has inspired you for your next event.

Maylene

Wishing for SNOW {Our Christmas}

Wishing for snow.

Every year we do Christmas Eve at my moms house. This year we did it at our house once again,  What a surprise right? LOL we had a wonderful time and my kids enjoyed it to the fullest. They ran around, played on their swing set, and ate lots of sweets.

We live in Miami, FL so our weather is no where near what the North is going thru, but we do wish that we had a little snow, especially on Christmas. So we decorated our table with rolled snow and snowmen.
This all started when my mom and I went to shopping and found Charlie our snowman.
Isn't he adorable? I just fell in love with him.

After taking Charlie home we decided to stay with Charlies color scheme. I immediately contacted Lynlee from Lynlee's Petite Cakes for a smaller version of Charlie, made of  fondant. Her work is fabulous and beautiful as you can see below.

While looking around on Etsy for my daughter's Christmas outfit. I bumped into Julie from Cakes and Kids. I was so impressed by all the designs she had. I wanted a small stocking banner counting down the days till Christmas and she had what I needed.

The stockings had a number one and the number twenty four glittered on the them.

One day left till Christmas!!!

When you walked out to our patio this was the image you saw. I was so excited to see what my kids, family, and guest faces were going to be. They loved it and I was pleased.

Our Lollipop banner was something different than what I normally do. I came up with this idea when I stumble on these lollipops in our Christmas boxes. It came out wonderful!

Our Snowman Hat utensil holder.

While at the supermarket I noticed the cover of Woman's Day magazine and saw an idea I liked. Their's was in red and white. It was so inspiring however, we wanted our own twist. So our color were in bright pinks, aqua, red, and green. We also added the word JOY and small Elf's.
It's not easy to make, but it was fun. Our straws and Elf's came from Hey Yoyo.

Our centerpiece for the  dinner table was hand made. The big white poof pom poms are normally hanging tissue pom poms. We decided to use them a little different.

Hand made food labels

We wrapped our cupcakes in our hand made wrappers that had a snowflake design. They were delish.

Some little decorations on our dessert table.

I had seen something similar on Pinterest. They had Reindeer's instead, but we liked the idea and thought it would a nice  to make snowman marshmallow.

Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating your holiday seasons with our loved ones.
